GPA-32 "Ladoga" Units have Successfully Passed String Tests on the Second Line of Amur GPP

On the second process line of the Amur GPP, pre-commissioning works and string tests of the second pair of “Ladoga” gas-pumping units have been completed. The equipment has been prepared for operation and gas transportation.

Upon completion of installation and pre-commissioning works, after successful 72-hour tests, the equipment manufactured at Nevskiy Zavod was handed over to the operating services of the customer. During the tests in the "Transport” mode that were performed under supervision of REP Holding service engineers, the coherent functioning of all the gas-pumping unit systems in the operating range was confirmed in the operating conditions of the gas processing plant.

GPA-32 "Ladoga" is the key equipment of booster compressor stations of the Amur GPP and is designed to compress and then supply the methane fraction from the plant to the main gas pipeline "Power of Siberia". The GPA-32 "Ladoga" design employs technical solutions that ensure reliable operation of the equipment at low temperature and seismicity up to eight points. The contract for supply of 12 GPA-32 "Ladoga" units for six process lines of the Amur GPP was signed at the end of 2017.

On June 9, 2021, the first line of the Amur GPP with two GPA-32 “Ladoga” units was put into operation as part of the process chain. Installation of four more gas-pumping units continues. Completion of the equipment supply for the Amur GPP is planned in 2022.

For reference:
The high-tech gas-pumping unit "Ladoga" based on the 32 MW industrial gas turbine features a high level of reliability and availability, low carbon dioxide and nitrogen emissions, extensive service life, including in adverse climatic conditions. "Ladoga" belongs to the class of industrial gas turbine units with a long service life and wide possibilities for service maintenance on site. It has been produced at REP Holding facilities since 2009 based on API standards.

The Amur Gas Processing Plant (GPP) is being built near the city of Svobodny, Amur Region, and upon reaching full capacity, it will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing enterprises. Its design capacity will be 42 billion cubic meters of natural gas per year. The plant will consist of six process lines. Commercial products of the Amur GPP, in addition to the purified methane fraction, are ethane, propane, butane, pentane-hexane fraction and helium. Gazprom pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (a member of Gazprom Group) is the investor, customer and operator of the Amur GPP.
