Start-up and commissioning works have been started at the complex gas treatment plant at the Novoportovskoye oil and gas condensate field

«Gazprom neft» has started testing and commissioning of the first complex gas processing plant (CGPP) and the system of its re-injection at the Novoportovoye field.

CGPP is designed for processing associated petroleum gas (APG) with its subsequent reinjection into subsurface. When achieving its full capacity the plant will recycle over 95% of associated petroleum gas which will have a positive effect upon the Arctic ecosystem, will increase the oil production at the Novoportovskoye field and will extend the service life of wells.

At present the process flow diagram of gas re-injection into the formation includes a gas processing plant consisting of four gas pumping units (GPU) with a capacity of 32 MW manufactured by REP Holding. In total under the agreement with LLC «Gazpromneft-Yamal» for the Novoportovskoye field eight gas-compressor units GPU «Ladoga -32», were shipped by the REP Holding, four of them are in the process of being installed.

«The gas infrastructure of the Novoportovsjkoye field is a unique project for the Russian power generation sector. Thanks to a comprehensive solution, implemented by Gazprom Neft on the peninsula Yamal, we received possibility to direct all the hydrocarbons produced here for value-added use. The creation of the most complex industrial plant in the Arctic confirms the high competence of our company not only for implementing projects in severe climate, but also in condition of autonomy», - said Vadim Yakovlev, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board, First Deputy General Director of Gazprom Neft.
