А visiting session of the workshop "Modern Technologies for Processing Raw Hydrocarbons” took place for PJSC «Gazprom» Group specialists аt Nevskiy Zavod, production site of REP Holding. The training was organized by the St. Petersburg branch of Gazprom Corporate Institute within the framework of professional development program.

Nevskiy Zavod was visited by managers and specialists of the administrative office and subsidiaries of PJSC Gazprom: Gazprom dobycha Astrakhan, Gazprom dobycha Nadym, Gazprom dobycha Orenburg, Sakhalin Energy Investment Company Ltd., as well as the representation of the company in the State of Qatar.
During the tour of the plant the Workshop participants were shown the main manufacturing lines and the production capacities of the plant. The participants visited the foundry, the equipment manufacturing and assembly areas, test beds. In the presentation part of the program the attendees were presented the whole range of the equipment manufactured by the Holding company for PJSC “Gazprom”. Particular emphasis was placed on the presentation of REP Holding advanced equipment for LNG projects.

Sergey Erokhin, Chief Designer of the turbines and turbine units, told about modern gas-turbine units for medium LNG plants in Russia. Alexey Gafner, a Circuit-Engineering Division specialist, presented a strategy for accident-free operation of an electric drive to increase the energy self-sufficience of the compressor units. Presentation of Yuri Boldyrev, a researcher of the Compressor Computations and Research Division, was devoted to the mixed refrigerant compressors for LNG plants. Such a compressor has been designed and manufactured by the Holding enterprises this year and is crucial in the process of natural gas liquefaction.

Manufacture of mixed refrigerant compressors mastered by REP Holding will make it possible to create in the long term the Russian LNG technology, to increase the use of domestic high-tech compressor equipment in the construction of medium and large plants, as well as to reduce dependence on expensive foreign service programs of foreign manufacturers.

The presentations gave rise to lively discussion, a lot of questions were asked about the production and special features in application of various technologies and equipment in specific production conditions.
The Gazprom Corporate Institute branch (St. Petersburg) thanked REP Holding for organizing and conducting the visiting session. The attendees highly appreciated its relevance and usefulness.
