Commissioning of GPU-32 "Ladoga" units has started at the Amur GPP

Commissioning of the main technological equipment has started at the Amur gas processing plant (GPP). Specialists are testing Ladoga-32 gas pumping units (GPU) on the first and second production lines, which are scheduled for commissioning in 2021. Oil washing of pipelines of the gas turbine engine and centrifugal compressor lubricating oil supply system, as well as testing of control and protection systems is carried out.

Ladoga-32 gas pumping units are the key equipment for booster compressor stations of the Amur GPP and are intended for compressing methane fraction for further supply of commercial gas from the plant to the main gas pipeline "Power of Siberia". Each of the six processing lines of the Amur GPP has two such units. To date, six Ladoga-32 gas pumping units have been fully installed on the first three lines of the Amur GPP, and another one has been installed on the fourth line. The design of GPU-32 "Ladoga" uses technical solutions that ensure the reliability of equipment operation at low temperatures and seismicity of up to eight points.

Gazprom's Amur GPP will become one of the world's largest natural gas processing plants. Its design capacity will be 42 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The plant will consist of six production lines, with the first two scheduled for commissioning in 2021. The commercial products of the GPP, in addition to the refined methane fraction, will be ethane, propane, butane, pentane-hexane fraction and helium.

The investor and customer of the Amur GPP construction project is Gazprom pererabotka Blagoveshchensk LLC (part of the Gazprom Group). Construction is managed by NIPIGAZ JSC — a leading Russian center for design, supply, logistics and construction management (part of the SIBUR Group).
