REP Holding presented its competencies at the IX International Forum “Arctic: Present and Future”

REP Holding took part in the IX International Forum “Arctic: Present and Future”, which was held from the 5th to the 7th of December in Saint Petersburg at the Cultural and Exhibition Center “Expoforum” Exhibition Center. The event was traditionally organized by the Interregional Public Organization “Association of Polar Explorers”.

At the collective exposition of Saint Petersburg, the company presented its competencies in the manufacturing and supply of energy equipment for the objects, which are located in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.

The turbo-compressor equipment of REP Holding, is distinguished by the high level of productivity, the significant resource of work and operational characteristics, and corresponding to high environmental standards, such kind of equipment is actively used at oil and gas facilities. The design of the units uses technical solutions that ensure reliable operation in severe climatic conditions of the high North.

For example, at the Novoport NGKM in the Yamal district of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, the gas-pumping units “Ladoga” with the capacity 32 MW produced by REP Holding are successfully used. Units operate at the compressor station for gas injection into the reservoir and external gas transportation as the part of the integrated gas treatment unit.

Within the framework of the exhibition, the advanced development of the engineers of the REP Holding was presented to the visitors, it has the key importance in the technological process of liquefying of natural gas, — the mixed refrigerant centrifugal compressor for LNG projects. REP Holding became the first in Russia and the third in the world manufacturer of compressor equipment of such type. The design uses the integrally machined axial-radial impellers with spatial blades, which improves the reliability of the flow part and the efficiency of the unit.

During the official tour around the exhibition, the exhibition stand was visited by Mr. Alexander Krutikov - the Deputy Minister of the Russian Federation for the Development of the Far East and the Arctic, Mr. Alexander Akimov, the Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee for Federal structure, Regional Policy, Local Government and North Affairs, Mr. Eduard Batanov, the Vice-Governor of Saint-Petersburg and Mr. Artur Chilingarov the Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for International Cooperation in the Arctic and Antarctic.

The forum proved itself as an authoritative discussion platform that helps to solve actual issues of exploration and development of the Arctic at different levels through dialogue with civil society.

This year the Forum was attended by over than 2500 delegates from more than 40 Russian regions and 20 foreign countries.
