Nevskiy Plant summed up the results of the implementation of the National project in connection with the increasing of the labor productivity

On the 20th of November, the information day was held at the Nevskiy Plant, within the framework of this day the results of the enterprise’s participation in the National Project “Labor Productivity and Employment Support” for the first six months were summed up.

The event was held with the participation of the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Labor and Employment of the Population of Saint-Petersburg Mr. Nikolai Rogachev, acting Chairman of the Committee of Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade Mr. Alexei Yakovlev, the representatives of the Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization “Federal Center of Competencies” and the industrial enterprises of the city. The Director General Mr. Igor Mishin, the First Deputy of Director General Mr. Alexei Shubin, and the members of the working group, the production managers, masters and operators of the pilot site attended the Nevskiy Plant.

The goal of the Nevskiy Plant’s participation in this project, which is operated by the FCC, was the necessity to increase the labor productivity due to a significant increasing of the product portfolio and growth of the production volumes. Based on the application of the lean manufacturing tools, advanced training and staff involvement, it is planned to increase performance at 30%.

“For our team, the implementation of the project is the unique opportunity to gain the practical experience and knowledge that can be applied to distribute the changes and improvements of the manufacturing processes in future,” said Mr. Igor Mishin, the Director General of the Nevskiy Plant.

At the Nevskiy Plant, with the participation of the Federal Center of Competencies, the pilot-areas of production flows for the implementation of lean technologies were defined. As a pilot-area the “Area of compressor equipment manufacturing” was chosen, within the framework of this at the rotor manufacturing the reference area was created. At the chosen area, the employees of the enterprise, in cooperation with the FCC experts, optimized the current manufacturing process: carried out the routine flow mapping (graphically displayed its current and target state), identified problem areas and developed the solutions how to eliminate them.

Thanks for the plan of actions, which is aimed to change of the organization of working places, eliminating of the excess processes and the lean production system implementation, the process time on the rotary part of the compressor equipment was reduced from 132 days up to 80 days, and the increase in production on the rotary manufacturing became more than 20%.

According to the programs of the FCC “The bases of the Lean Production”, “The Implementation of Improvement Projects” and “5S”, three internal trainers were certified. Up to the present moment, they trained 120 employees for the basic principles of the 5S system.

“Our strategic goal, in cooperation with the FCC,” - says Mr. Hamit Fattakhov, the director of development and strategic planning department, - is not only to increase our competitiveness, but also to create the culture of high productivity, that will become the philosophy of each of our subdivision.”

In November, Mr. Hamit Fattakhov at Saint-Petersburg International Innovation Forum, within the framework of the session “The national project as a tool to support the regional enterprises in terms of labor productivity increasing”, presented the results of the program and spoke about the features of the project implementation at the Nevskiy Plant.

The Federal and Regional Competence Centers, the Committee on Labor and Employment of the Population, and the Committee on Industrial Policy, Innovation and Trade of Saint-Petersburg participate in the implementation of the project for increasing of labor productivity. Enterprises, participating in the national project are offered various government support measures: reducing of regulatory costs and administrative burdens, concessional loans of the Industrial Development Fund at 1%, support for export, training for workers at the budget funds expense, the optimizing of production flows using lean manufacturing technologies.

Before the end of 2024, almost 843 enterprises of the city will become participants in the national project “The Labor Productivity and Employment Support”. Commenting the project, Mr. Dmitriy Cherneyko, the Chairman of the Committee on Labor and Employment of the Population of Saint- Petersburg, mentioned: “The city is actively participating in the national project, creative work is being carried out, involving more and more people. Our task is that the participants of project, employees of the enterprises receive the maximum benefit, feel the effectiveness of the whole process. Thanks for the implemented national projects and state programs, more than 11 thousands of people have undergone professional training during this year, it is important not even for the growth of labor productivity but and for global competition.”
