The installation of high-tech equipment of REP Holding is in progress at the catalytic cracking unit of the TANECO Complex

Currently, under the technical supervision of service engineers from REP Holding, the installation of large-block equipment supplied within the framework of the broad-scale project for construction of petrochemical refining and processing plants complex «TANECO» in Nizhnekamsk (Republic of Tatarstan) is in progress.

The equipment intended for installation of the catalytic cracking for the TANECO oil refining complex was designed by specialist of the Engineering Centre of REP Holding and manufactured at the Nevsky Plant (REP Holding’s production facility) under the contract with PJSC Tatneft.

The scope of supply includes main and backup blowers. The main blower consists of an axial compressor driven by a steam turbine and the backup blower consists of an axial compressor with an electric drive. The blower is designed for continuous process of catalyst regeneration by supplying the atmospheric air to the reactor block of the catalytic cracking unit. The equipment meets the requirements of the Axens technological process licensor and up-to-date standards for operational safety.

REP Holding has considerable experience in designing and manufacturing the axial compressors. As of today, the company is perhaps the only one in Russia capable of supplying compressors of this type for industrial needs.
Mastering a new technology for axial compressors manufacturing by the Holding is of strategic importance for the mechanical engineering industry according to the import substitution program. The project implementation will let create a high-tech competitive Russian product, not inferior in its characteristics to foreign counterparts.

Reference note:
TANECO JSC is a modern enterprise of the Russian oil refining industry having strategic importance for the Tatarstan economy development, and which is included in the Tatneft Group.Today, the line of TANECO products includes about 20 types of high-quality and much-in-demand products. The development plan of the TANECO Project makes provision for launching the units to increase the volume of oil refining and to scale up the range of output products.
