REP Holding took part in the business mission of St.Petersburg in Turkmenistan

Representatives of the REP Holding as a part of the official delegation of St.Petersburg headed by the Governor Georgy Poltavchenko visited Ashkhabad. The visit was organized within the frames of the business mission of St Petersburg to Turkmenistan.

During the visit a number of meetings were held where the participants of the governmental delegation of St.Petersburg discussed the prospects for developing mutually beneficial relations in the business and educational spheres with the highest-level leaders and representatives of the business community of Turkmenistan.

REP Holding took part in the presentation of projects that could be implemented in Turkmenistan, as well as in the business contacts exchange. The Holding’s Management conducted a series of negotiations with the Russia trade mission in Turkmenistan, representatives of relevant ministries and departments, heads of state concerns «Turkmenneft», «Turkmenenergo», «Turkmrngaz» and private companies of Turkmenistan. Also within the framework of the visit, the official meeting of the President of REP Holding Tagir Nigmatulin and the hokim of Ashkhabad Shamukhammet Durdylyev was held.

The subject of the negotiations was discussion of perspective cooperation in the projects of reconstruction and new construction of energy and gas transportation infrastructure in the field of supply of gas-pumping, compressor and associated equipment of the REP Holding production.

In addition, the parties discussed the possibility for partnership in the projects related to the modernization of previously installed equipment at chemical, oil-gas and fuel-and-power plants within the framework of implementing the second phase of the National Program for Social and Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2001 – 2030.

Delegates of the REP Holding also conducted negotiations with representatives of the Ministry of Education, leaders of the Academy of Sciences, higher and secondary educational institutions of Turkmenistan. The parties discussed the issues on partnership in the field of professional development training and advanced skills improvement of engineering and technical personnel and the organization of joint research-engineering work in the field of turbo-compressor building. Within the frame of cooperation it is planned to hold joint events for representatives of the scientific community, young specialists and students on the experience exchange in development of advanced energy-saving technologies for the oil and gas industry.

In particular, the issue of conducting the training programs on the development of production and technical-engineering competencies for specialists of Turkmenistan plants and organizing the on-job-practice for Turknem students studying at technical universities in St.Petersburg on the basis of the production sites of REP Holding, was discussed.
