The Chairman of the Government Vladimir Putin visited «Nevsky Zavod» within the framework of working visit

April 8, 2011 the meeting «On measures for development of energy machine-building in the Russian Federation» under the guidance of Vladimir Putin took place on the territory of «Nevsky Zavod» (one of the «REP Holding» enterprise). Vice-chairman of the Government of the RF Igor Sechin, Minister of Energy of the RF Sergey Shmatko, representatives of subject ministries and departments, heads of the leading manufacturing and scientific enterprises of energy and energy machine-building branches, heads of the largest electric and energy companies took part in this meeting.

Accomplishment of «The development strategy of energy machine-building of the RF for 2010-2011 years and up to 2030 year» was discussed during the meeting. The document determines the priorities of development and modernization of the branch, measures of governmental stimulation of demand for energy equipment produced by traditional Russian manufacturers, items on development and exploitation in manufacturing competitive products, including the use of governmental-private partnership tool, technical re-equipment of enterprises, possibilities of gaining new positions on the world market. Vladimir Putin had a suggestion to set tax and investment allowances for the branch, called to manufacture component parts on the territory of Russia not abroad and directed Ministry of Energy and Russian Federal Service for Ecological, Technical and Atomic Supervision to enhance monitoring of modernization in energetics.

«It is no mere chance for us to meet just at that spot on the «Nevsky Zavod» – all the process flows are built here. And all this has happened for the past ten years. Just recently the enterprise was in a sorry state, and today it has everything – all the flows: starting from its own foundry engineering up to assembly of completed equipment. It has good cooperation contacts, including the leading world companies, also a branch network, in Chechenia directly in Grozniy there an enterprise. The work of the plant is a good example of successful development, deep technological modernization of manufacture, effective cooperation of machine-builders and product consumers. So the large orders of «Gazprom» allowed the enterprise together with Italian partners to implement the project on gas compressors «Ladoga» (today we’ve seen this equipment), with localization level during manufacturing of this equipment comes up to 80% - it is a very good value», - pointed V. Putin.

Before starting the meeting the Prime-minister accompanied by the President of «REP Holding» Gennady Lokotkov, the Governor of Saint-Petersburg Valentina Matvienko, the Vice-chairman of the Government of the RF Igor Sechin and authorized representative of the President of the RF in North-West region Ilya Klebanov observed production capacities of the «Nevsky Zavod». The visiting started with the museum of the «Nevsky Zavod», which collects enterprise history for one and a half century.

The Head of the Government observed modernized production capacities of the enterprise, familiarized with output equipment, talked to working men, visited the new modularization workshop, where the whole range of innovative and high-technological products of «REP Holding» was represented. Special attention was paid to one of the most attractive projects of Holding – gas-pumping unit of new generation – GPU-32 «Ladoga» with high efficiency level 36% and low level of ecologically harmful exhausts. Five such modern gas-pumping units have been already installed on compressor stations of «Gazprom».

Vladimir Putin took part in signing range of agreements on long-term cooperation between «REP Holding» and large energy companies - JSC «Holding MRSK» and JSC «Inter RAO UES». These agreements provide for development, manufacture and supply of modern high-technological equipment for Federal Grid Company.

In closing the visit the Prime-minister made a record in the book for honored guests of the «Nevsky Zavod», in which highly appreciated the level of development and wished further success.
