On the 25 of August, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom Bahrain to Russia Ahmed Al-Saati accompanied by the Counsellor for Economic Affairs Valid Abdulla Latif visited enterprises of the industrial group of Gazprombank. Within the scope of familiarization visit, the honored guests visited the Nevskiy Plant, the production site of REP Holding, and the enterprises being part of the OMZ Group.
During the visit to Izhora Industrial Site the guests visited the foundry and mechanical-thermal productions of the LLC «OMZ-Special Steels» company, as well as the welding and assembly production of the PJSC «Izhorskiye Zavody». In the workshops of OMZ-Special Steels the guests got acquainted with the process of manufacturing unique castings and blanks made of special steels for shipbuilding, power machine engineering, and other sectors of country industry. In the welding and assembly production of Izhora factories they saw a technological process for the production of unique vessels for nuclear power plants, for oil and gas processing.
At the Nevsky Plant, the guests were shown the main production lines and production capacities of the plant - sections for manufacture, assembly and packaging of high-tech turbocompressor equipment, stands for comprehensive tests. A special emphasis was made upon the presentation of centrifugal compressors of new generation and industrial gas turbines produced by the Holding under the frames of implementation of new construction projects and comprehensive modernization of energy, oil and gas, chemical and metallurgical industries.
The guests noted the high production culture at the Nevsky Plant and OMZ Group enterprises, modern technological equipment, scale-range, as well as a rich industrial history and significance of the projects being implemented.
Within the framework of the visit, negotiations were held during which the executive directors of REP Holding, led by President Tagir Nigmatulin, and the honored guests discussed possible areas of cooperation with industrial enterprises from Gazprombank group in the field of energy and oil and gas projects, and touched upon the issues of long-term partnership with the Persian Gulf countries. Following the results of the negotiations, Ambassador Ahmad Al-Saati invited the Russian participants to hold a business meeting already on the territory of Bahrain for a substantive discussion on certain projects and working out a plan for further collaboration.
