Delegation of PJSC “Gazprom Neft” Visited Production Facilities of “REP Holding” within Training Course

On the 28th of April a group of specialists from PJSC “Gazprom Neft” under the guidance of the Head of Gas Business Development Department, Mr. Pavel Sumenkov, visited Nevskii Zavod. The visit to the factory was arranged by the Compressor, Vacuum and Refrigeration Equipment Department of the Institute of Energy and Transport Systems of Saint-Petersburg Polytechnic University in partnership with REP Holding as a part of the postgraduate course “Turbocompressor Theory Basics”.  This educational institute chose Nevskii Zavod company because this factory is a hi-tech production complex and a large worldclass manufacturer of modern compressor equipment.

The participants of the course were welcomed by the Deputy Director General of Nevskii Zavod, Mr.Andrey Maslov, and by the representatives of the Design Subdivisions headed by the Director General of CC “IPMB&E”, Mr. Vasilii Spirin.

After visiting the factory’s museum, the guests were escorted to see the main production lines of the company – the site for production, assembly and commissioning of the new-generation power generation and turbocompressor equipment of serial production for GPA-32 “Ladoga”, and the production facilities for the new 16MW gas turbine and its new test bench. Besides, the specialists visited the metallurgical facilities and the magnetic bearing production site.

Due to specific training subject, the delegation was shown a new series of the compressors to be used on the objects of main gas pipelines, on booster compressor stations, on oil refineries and LNG plants. The most outstanding features of such units are the high efficiency, broad capacity range, lifetime and smaller weight and size of the structure.

In course of the excursion the visitors observed operation of the modern lathes fleet, including 5-axes center OKUMA, that is successfully used for machining of integral axial-radial impellers with 3D blades for the prospective compressors.

Representatives of “Gazprom Neft” and of Polytech highly evaluated the production site standards and technical capabilities of Nevskii Zavod factory and specifically considered that presence of a full manufacturing process cycle for the main products is an advantage.

The meeting participants discussed further cooperation issues. At the moment “Gazprom Neft” and “REP Holding” are bound by the project “Novy Port”, that is dedicated to development one of the largest oil, gas and condensate field in Polar Regions. Within this project REP Holding manufactured and supplied 8 gas-transfer units GPA-32 “Ladoga” to the Novoportovskoye field.
