The New Replaceable Flow Path made by «REP Holding» has been successfully tested at the Booster Compressor Station of the West-Tarkosalinskoye Gas Field

From February 6 to 7, 2013 at the Booster Compressor Station of the West-Tarkosalinskoye Gas Field acceptance tests of the replaceable flow path manufactured by «REP Holding» with the electromagnetic bearing system were held. It was for the first time that the company carried out the development and production of the replaceable flow path with the electromagnetic bearing system for the booster station and mounted the newly-made flow path into the casing of the compressor previously installed at the station.

In March 2012 REP Holding received the order from «Gazprom Tsentrremon» to replace one of the operated replaceable flow path with the electromagnetic bearing system for the Booster Compressor Station of the Tarkosalinskoye gas field. First of all, «REP Holding» was given the task to replace the previously installed electromagnetic bearing system, that had shown itself as low – reliable, by the magnetic bearing system designed by S2M. The electromagnetic bearing systems have been produced by «REP Holding» under the license of S2M since April 2009 and have been successfully applied as part of the gas compressor units at the gas mains facilities.

The flow path for booster compressor was fully designed, manufactured and assembled by the Holding company specialists. In November 2012 the unit was successfully tested at «Nevskiy Plant» and was shipped to the Booster Compressor Station of the Tarkosalinskoye gas field. The installation of the electromagnetic bearing system was performed on site within two weeks, and the pre-commissioning activities were carried out just in two days.

The tests were observed by the commission headed by the chief engineer of «Gazprom dobycha Noyabrsk», with the participation of representatives from «REP Holding», «Gazprom Tsentrremont», «Gazprom» and «VNIIGAZ». The tests confirmed the characteristics stated in the Technical Design Specification, the compressor efficiency was 83.2%, the vibration displacement of the compressor rotor at all process conditions, including the operation close to surge, did not exceed 10 ?m. The commission signed the Acceptance Test Certificate evidencing the readiness of the unit for operation on site.

The positive results of the production and tests of the first flow path for the Booster Compressor Station made by «REP Holding» confirmed the readiness of the enterprise to fulfill the next order for replacement of 4 more flow paths on the same site, as well as to carry out similar work at other gas transportation, gas and gas condensate extraction facilities.
