REPH will produce frequency converter for vessel electric propulsion systems

SPC “Shipping Electric Propulsion” and “ELECTROPULT Plant” proceeded with developing and manufacturing the test model of semiconductor frequency converter, designated for using it as a part of vessel electric propulsion systems.

REPH develops for the first time serial output of vessel semiconductor frequency converters, which are used in vessel electric drive. This semiconductor frequency converter will be used as a part of vessel electric propulsion systems with a capacity of 4 MW and thrusters.

This work is carried out under Federal Target Project “Civil marine technique devel-opment” for 2009-2016, approved by the RF government regulation from 21st of Feb-ruary 2008.
