REP Holding Presented its Experience in Import Substitution at St. Petersburg V International Gas Forum

REP Holding presented the line of the up-to-date power equipment and made three reports  at  St. Petersburg V International Gas Forum that took place on October 6 - 9, 2015  in the Cultural-and-Exhibition Center "EXPOFORUM"  with support of PJSC «Gazprom».

The event gathered more than 1,500 participants - representatives of major oil and gas companies, innovation and design centers, as well as experts, heads of specialized universities and research institutes.

At the opening of the Forum the delegates were welcomed by the Governor of St. Petersburg  Georgy Poltavchenko, Chairman of the Board of Gazprom  Alexei Miller, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy,  President of  NP "Russian Gas Community”  Pavel Zavalny, President of the International Gas Union David Carroll, the World Energy Council Secretary General Christoph Frei and other international leaders in the oil and gas and energy industry. The participants of the plenary session outlined current issues of the international gas market and energy security, pointing out the increasing role of Gazprom in the conditions of  growing demand for gas in Europe and Asia.

More than 35 conferences and round tables were held within the framework of the Forum.  The issues related to increasing the efficiency of raw materials extraction and processing, as well as gas distribution, operation and re-equipment of the industry with modern machinery were the  main topics discussed.

At the Conference dedicated  to  the use of the latest scientific developments in  gas processing, the  Chief Designer of the Centrifugal Compressor  Department Vladimir Yun reported on  the capabilities of REP Holding in production of the equipment for petroleum gas transportation.

The center stage in the business program of the Forum was taken by  the Conference on import substitution in the oil and gas industry. The Chief Designer of  the Turbines and Turbo-Units  Department Sergey Erokhin presented the projects on localization  of  licensed turbines rated at 16, 25 and 32 MW on REP Holding production sites.

The topic of the imported equipment substitution  in the Russian industry was supported by the Engineering Club  which hosted a roundtable discussion of  the current engineering trends in  the domestic oil and gas sector. The experience of REP Holding in this regard was presented  by the Deputy Head of the Gas Turbine and Axial Compressor Design Department  Kirill Deyko.

REP Holding experience in import substitution was presented at the International specialized exhibition " InGAS Stream - Innovations in the Gas Industry”. The exhibition stand of REP Holding was part of  the collective exposition  organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation to demonstrate the capabilities of  Russian enterprises to substitute  import  equipment and technologies.

Russian stationary turbines in the range of 16 to 32 MW,  the production of which is being rapidly developed on the Holding production sites,  were demonstrated at the exhibition stand.

Ladoga-32, a new-generation gas-pumping unit, was presented as an example of successful experience in localization. The unit features high efficiency, low emission,  economic efficiency and long life. Ladoga-32 that has become the key unit for the largest infrastructure projects in the oil and gas industry, has been created by REP Holding based on the technologies acquired  from GE Oil & Gas. Today, it is the only domestic industrial gas-pumping unit rated at 32 MW on the Russian market having the best economic and operation performance in its class. Currently, the Holding enterprises have manufactured more than 40 units (for compressor stations of  the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta gas transmission network, CS “Russkaya”, CS "Novy Port”), 19 of them have been successfully operated at the reconstructed and newly constructed  sites of PJSC “Gazprom”.

St.Petersburg Gas Forum has confirmed its status as the leading platform for discussion of the topical industry issues. The decisions taken at the Forum affect directly the  worldwide gas market buildup.
